Naga Chaitanya, Sukuamar’s new film launched

Geetha Arts is producing a Sukumar’s new film for the first time. The film starring Naga Chaitanya, Tamannaaah was launched on June 7th at Annapurna studios. Bunny Vasu is producing the film on our banner. Devi Sri Prasad, who has composed for all of Sukumar’s earlier films, scores the music for this film too. Prasad handles the camera. This is the 31st film to be made on our banner. After the success of our previous films, Jalsa and Magadheera, we are producing two films simultaneously and this film is one among them.

The movie is currently being shot at a brisk pace. This will be Naga Chaitanya third film after Josh and Ye Maya Chesave and Tamannaah is acting in a direct Telugu film after more than a year. A love story and youthful entertainer, the film is slated for release later this year. Magadheera In Tamil As Maaveeran

Ram Charan Tej and S.S Rajamouli’s all-time blockbuster Magadheera is being dubbed into tamil. After enthralling the audiences in Andhra Pradesh & Karntaka the magic of the film will spread further south in Tamil Nadu.

Noted producer Kalaipuli Dhanu and Geetha Arts would jointly release the movie in tamil. Certain portions of the movie are going to be re-shot for the tamil version. AVM’s Leader 75 Days

Geetha Film Distributors (GFD), a division of Allu Entertainment Private Limited has acquired the theatrical distribution rights of AVM Production’s movie Leader featuring Rana Daggubati, Richa Gangopadhyay, Priya Anand, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Suhasini Maniratnam. Shekar Kammula directed this critically acclaimed and commercially successful political drama. The movie had successfully completed its 75 day run in the state.

After successfully distributing James Cameron’s Avatar in Andhra Pradesh, Leader is our next film, another successful venture. The movie is running towards 100 days. GFD & Allu Entertainment congratulate the entire unit of Leader on their success.

Komaram Puli Worldwide Release

Geetha Film Distributors (GFD), a wholly owned subsidiary of Allu Entertainment Private Limited, the holding company of Geetha Arts has acquired the worldwide distribution rights for Pawan Kalyan’s forthcoming blockbuster Komaram Puli. The movie is produced by Singanamala Ramesh on Kanakaratna Movies banner.

S.J Suryah teams up with Pawan Kalyan for the second time after the 2001 blockbuster Khushi. A new face Nikesha Patel is cast opposite Kalyan in this film. Oscar & Grammy winner A.R Rahman scores the music for the film. Its his first straight telugu film in many years. The audio of the movie will be launched into the market in the month of May 2010. The movie itself is slated for release in the second half of the year.

Geetha Film Distributors has been in the distribution business since 1986 and has distributed over 400 movies since inception. Its one of the most reputed distribution agency in Andhra Pradesh.

Badhrinaadh in June

Geetha Arts next production Badhrinaadh was launched recently. The movie has Allu Arjun and Tamannah in the lead and is being directed by V.V Vinayak, who has one of the highest success rates in the industry. M.M Keeravani scores the music for this film, which has a devotional backdrop. Magadheera and Aparichitudu fame Peter Hynes composes the action episodes in this epic film. Dasavatharam fame Ravi Varman handles the camera. Geetha Arts hopes to complete its hattrick in telugu with Badhrinaadh, Jalsa and Magadheera being the last two films.

The movie is currently in pre-production. It would go to floors in the month of June and is slated for release in the first half of 2011. The story of the movie demands it be made with grandeur. Avatar – The highest grossing Hollywood dubbed film

James Cameron’s magnum opus ‘Avatar’ has smashed all box office records across the world. This film has also set a new record in Andhra Pradesh and it’s now the highest grossing Hollywood dubbed film ever. Previously, James Cameron’s ‘Titanic’ which released in 1997 held the record as the highest grossing dubbed film for 12 years. Although there were several potential blockbusters which released in these 12 years since Titanic, none could match the records set by Titanic. In November, 2009, the record set by ‘Titanic’ was broken by Roland Emmerich’s apocalyptic film ‘2012’. However, it didn’t take too long for this new record to be broken by James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’. The film received bumper openings usually seen for some of the top heroes in Telugu film industry and it has set a new record across all centres where the film released. . The film was released in Telugu and English versions across the state by Geetha Film Distributors.

‘Magadheera’, Blu-Ray Disc launched

All-Time Industry Blockbuster, ‘Magadheera’ starring Ram Charan Teja has been released in Blu-Ray format along with DVDs and CDs. This is the first time that a Telugu film has been launched in Blu Ray format in Indian markets along with the international markets. Geetha Arts has joined hands with Balaji Video, the largest home video company, to release ‘Magadheera’ in Blu-Ray format. The pack will have a bonus disc with additional material like the making of the film. The Blu-Ray and DVD launch ceremony was held on February 28th, 2010 in Hyderabad. S.S.Rajamouli, Allu Aravind, Ram Charan Teja and M.M.Keeravani graced the event. Speaking at the event, Geetha Arts chief, Allu Aravind said, ‘It costs around 10 lacs to produce Blu Ray disc and Balaji Videos is not hesitating about costs and doing it for the first time in Telugu. It’s the time of technology revolution. Geeta Arts has always been the frontrunner in implementing new technologies. We started the computerized accounting first, we made the first DTS movie in Telugu and we introduced first Telugu movie based mobile game. There are also special features in this DVD like the making of Magadheera.’ The DVD of Magadheera was released in the market on the same day, while the Blu-Ray format was released on March 15th. Blu-Ray disc is the latest storage format which redefines home-viewing besides giving an experience on par with cinemas in picture quality and sound.
