Geetha Arts though came to be known for its big-budget blockbusters, the company marked its beginning by producing a small-budget movie “Bandrothu Bharya” in 1974. The company delivered several successful projects from the beginning, the film Vijetha (winner), a family drama starring Chiranjeevi set the trend of blockbusters for Geetha Arts. Since then, GA has made movies mostly featuring superstars such as Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor, Pawan Kalyan, Vijay, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan Tej.

After consolidating the film production business, Geetha Arts expanded its presence into film distribution, exhibition, publishing and digital content. In the highly fragmented and unorganized industry, Geetha Arts is one of the few players that has streamlined its business and evolve into an integrated film conglomerate.

Important milestones:

• 1997- With the film ‘Master’, Geetha Arts was the first Telugu film album to release its soundtrack on a CD, along with cassettes. Also, Master was first film which introduced DTS to Andhra Pradesh.
• 2001- With the film ‘Johnny’ – Geetha introduced movie merchandizing in Telugu Cinema, by launching a range of products such as t-shirts, posters, key chains around the movie.
• 2008- Geetha Arts released a mobile game based on its movie – Jalsa, the first time for a Telugu film.
• 2009- Geetha Arts along with FX Labs created the Ghajini, role-playing 3D game – the first ever PC game based on an Indian film. Riding on the movie’s success the game sold over 100,000 units and opened gaming as a revenue stream for Indian movies.

In the coming years, Geetha Arts aims to introduce other innovations to the movie business.

Mr.Allu Aravind

Allu Aravind is a renowned film producer and distributor in Telugu cinema industry and he is the founder of Geetha Arts.  He is the son of the late sri Padmasri Allu Rama Lingaiah, a veteran comedian and great human being. He is the brother-in-law of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan and father of Allu Arjun, all of whom are actors. He is also the uncle of Ram Charan Teja.
